The Associate Financial Advisor Member Contact Centre (AFA – MCC) plays an integral role in the delivery of superior personalized service to our member owners. As the first point of contact for the majority of our incoming calls you strive to fulfill the role of brand ambassador by making members feel comfortable. You engage the membership through effective communication skills and by exceeding their expectations. You build relationships by asking probing questions with the objective of satisfying member needs through the referral or sale of our products and services. The AFA utilizes their knowledge and applies their technical expertise in the delivery or referral of all financial services offered through Servus Credit Union. As an Associate Financial Advisor you strive for excellence because you play a vital role in enhancing the member experience, and the growth and profitability of our credit union.

Principal Duties

  • Fulfill member requests including, but not limited to account updates, balances, cheque orders, statements, new and renewing investments; personal loan and mortgage applications in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Process account changes, and handle member inquiries in a timely and efficient manner while taking every opportunity to enhance our relationship with our members.
  • Conduct interviews with new and existing members to identify their needs, goals and objectives. Identify, solicit, and close sales opportunities; offer appropriate Servus Credit Union products and services to members in response to stated needs, as well as in response to clues indicating unstated needs.
  • Communicate product and service information, utilize fact finding questions and professional responses to address objections; ask for the business.
  • Solicit new members; foster business development through service excellence and product knowledge.


  • Grade 12 diploma is mandatory
  • Post secondary education in Finance or related studies is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to identify opportunities to provide or refer products and services to our members, respond to their inquiries, and resolve problems or concerns.
  • Must be available to work some Saturdays, evenings and Stat holidays
