Servus Credit Union member-owners elect 2016 Board of Directors

(Edmonton, Alberta) – Servus Credit Union held its annual general meeting (AGM) on March 9, 2016 at the Westerner Park Harvest Centre in Red Deer and announced the results of the Board elections held in February 2016.

Member-owners of Servus elected the following four members to the Board of Directors: Amy Corrigan, John Lamb, Doug Bristow, and Dianne Brown. They were elected to three-year terms which began immediately after results were declared.

Full election results are:

  • Amy Corrigan - 1,418
  • John Lamb - 1,357
  • Doug Bristow - 1,180
  • Dianne Brown - 1,140
  • Perry Dooley - 1,122
  • Lynda Duncombe - 997
  • Don Darnell - 808
  • Dennis Horrigan - 726

John Lamb was elected Board Chair by the board members and Penny Reeves Vice Chair.

Chosen to lead committees were:

  • Audit & Finance – Simon Neigum
  • Enterprise Risk Management – Amy Corrigan
  • Governance & Human Resources – Alison Starke

Representing Servus Credit Union on the Board of Credit Union Central of Alberta are Jon Holt, Simon Neigum and Iris Evans.

Retiring from the Board is Perry Dooley of Medicine Hat who has served on our board since 2010. The Board members expressed appreciation for their service to the credit union.

Continuing their terms on the Servus Credit Union Board of Directors are Ken Cameron, Iris Evans, Doug Hastings, Jonathon Holt, Darcy Mykytyshyn, Simon Neigum, Penny Reeves and Alison Starke.

The four Board members were elected by eligible member-owners from a slate of eight candidates. Subject to eligibility criteria set out in the Alberta Credit Union Act and the Servus Credit Union bylaws, all Servus member-owners may participate in the Board election by running for the Board and voting for the candidates.
