Servus partnered with Junior Achievement in 2011 to bring financial literacy education to students across Alberta. Since then more than 20,000 students have attended a Dollars with Sense class!
The Dollars with Sense program helps grade 8 students learn the skills they need to make smart money decisions. Students learn about budgeting, money management and investments. Our sponsorship makes it possible for Junior Achievement to offer the class at more schools and to more students across the province.
But our support doesn’t end there. Volunteers from the local business community, including Servus, teach each Dollars with Sense class. The volunteers create a “real world” feel for the students by sharing their personal knowledge and experiences. Servus employees have taught many Dollars with Sense classes over the years and we’re ready to share our experience on an even larger scale in the years to come!
